Big Bear... Southern California's ultimate snow play getaway.  Year round activities are offered here such as Mountain Biking, Alpine "Bobsledding", hiking, camping.. you name it.  It is also home to many  full and part time residences ranging from the tiny one-bedroom Forest Recreation Cabins, to multi-million dollar estates.  The links above take you too local info about all the what-to-do about town, and Big bear is even home to one of the best 4th of July firework shows!  This area is a bit more self-sustaining than the other communities, and also the furthest away from the major metropolitan areas.  Just like any house, any town.. pros and cons, but if you're looking for mountain living, well here you are...
