Traditionally, the "hot" time for selling Real estate in the mountains is Summer, with the most effective listing time being around the first of Spring. That leaves Fall and Winter, when things used to die down. We do indeed still see a decrease in active and new listings hitting the market, with most sellers wanting to wait until our next prime selling season. In actuality, these seasons still offer their own pros (and cons of course) for both sellers and buyers. Lately in the more refined "Resort areas" of the Mountain, you will find new houses squeaking onto the market every other day or so, keeping things fresh for the active buyers around. If your house stands our from the rest in any manner and you have the appropriate exposure via a large and expansive MLS... pro-active agent with decent advertising skills both offline and on, and are is priced well (remember to do your research when hunting for a listing Agent and listening to presentations).. you should have no problem selling with little effort. If you're a Buyer in the market today, you could very well find some stellar steals it you're experienced with digging around, and again, have a pro-active Agent that is digging alongside you. Don't let the weather and supposed "off-season" deter you from you Real Estate dreams and goals.. it could be the perfect time for you to make the move! The market does change on a daily basis, and I do my best to keep a finger on it by the day.. so please feel free to inquire, I'd be more than happy to share my thoughts. Good luck!
